Project specifics: A 1.5-acre site, acquired from a brewery with a failed and closed pub.

Project challenges: We presented a viability argument to the planners that we would refurbish the pub if granted residential consent for housing to the rear.
The result: Planning permission was awarded for seven units, which we built and sold. We refurbished the pub, which is now successfully trading. Our residential scheme won a Sussex Heritage Trust Award for its architecture.
